Black Type at Market Rasen

I’m delighted to report that Shantewe is A1 this morning. She’s trotted out sound and well, ate up most of her supper and lost 11kgs which is normal

Obviously it was a shame not to win but she’s run another great race to be 3rd in a listed bumper - in turn picking up valuable black type for her future career as a Broodmare (long way down the line, but it all counts). It was a differently run race to Wetherby as they didn’t go much pace and it was a tactical sprint really. I thought she had every chance 3 furlongs out but she didn’t quicken as well as the winner but she’s stayed on really strongly to gallop through the line. This all bodes well for her future and we must now look to run in the mares listed bumper at Sandown on 9th March....and then the Grade 2 at aintree on 4th April all being well. The dream lives on.....
